Himalayan journey: Fundraiser to share yoga with Women affected by violence
On Saturday 3rd July, Katie will lead a Himalayan Journey in support of The Yoga Foundation to raise funds for yoga programs specifically designed to support women affected by domestic violence.
For the last 2.5 years Katie has been splitting her time between delivering violence prevention awareness campaigns and sharing the practices of breathwork and yoga. June marks 10 years for Katie on the Wurundjeri lands and it feels apt for her to mark this occasion by bringing her worlds together - to give back to the community and share practices that have encouraged transformation and a greater sense of freedom in herself.
The invitation is to come together to raise funds as we celebrate the power of these practices and explore a journey encompassing breathwork, movement, kriya, sound and meditation.

The Yoga Foundation programs
Well-being (being-well) should be available to everyone and that belief sits firmly in the heart of both Katie and The Yoga Foundation. The programs are trauma-informed to meet women where they’re at, on their terms, and provide safe spaces to share practices that can support their mental health and emotional and psychological recovery - building up self-agency, resilience and felt independence / control.
The practice
Katie will offer a journey through easeful and elevating breathwork, empowering kriya and soothing movement, sound and meditation with the intention of giving you permission to explore, express and connect with a deep curiosity and sense of belonging.
Let’s come together, nurture our inner light and help others access useful resources to reconnect with theirs.
